We woke up extra early today, because a very interesting day was about to begin. We were going to see the whales today!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a specific hour we went to the place where we slept one day ago and waited in the line to go to the boat, that was going to drive us to the whales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After watching a safety video, we went onboard and saw funny little birds with bright orange beaks and legs, and white tummies. We learnt that they are called puffins and I find that name just as adorable as they are (and it rhymes with muffins and that is also cute).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After some waves almost threw us off the board, we started to see different kinds of smaller whales, that were very shy and quickly disappeared after appearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orcas on the other hand weren\u2019t that shy, and we were able to get a good look at them as they came very close to us in bigger groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was one very nice lady, who knew a lot about sea animals and who obviously loved her work. She pointed out all the animals and told us some very interesting facts about them, which made everything even more interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wind and the rain made staying onboard very hard, because when you combine these two with Norwegian temperatures you get a very cold weather and extreme longing for some gloves and other winter clothes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it was all worth our wait, as we were able to see the second largest animals that have ever lived on this planet, also known as Fin Whales, along with Sperm, Pilot and Winke Whales. Even seals and eagles decided to eventually show up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also had a chance to personally test, how well the vegetable and fish soup can fight against gravity and waves, as we tried to eat it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 8 hours of trying not to be seasick and not fall in the water we were exhausted and had barely any energy left, so we found a place to sleep. And that was another successful day for us adventurers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
