Tallinn – Vanalinn

To clean out the stench from the day before, we were greeted with strong night rain, which sent us into second round of sleep.

After morning rituals, we continued our way north and went into direction of Tallinn. Near Tallinn we parked our camper in camp just 25 minutes train drive from city center, so this meant afternoon visit of another Baltic capital. This stop in camp was necessary, since we had to refill our supplies of fresh water.

We started our Tallinn round on viewing platform of capitol hill in the middle of old town. Here old town is called Vanalinn. From there we could get a nice view over the town center and decided what we would like to up close in the next hour or so.

Firstly, we stopped at the beautiful orthodox church and neighboring Toompea Castle with its tower called Tall Hermann. We continued through winding streets along old city walls.

In the old town center, we saw many narrow alleys and several magnificent old and important buildings, like the city hall on picture.

After 2 hours of walking through the town we still wanted to stop somewhere for a fast snack, but our train back was too fast, and we headed back to camping place and ate something small for dinner, some evening exercises and setting sun, which said goodbye at 22:13.
