Through the wildness of Norway

Sunrise 2:17

Today we slept till 9.00 o’clock, then mum woke us up. But I didn’t want to get up. So, I turned around and I tried to keep on sleeping. But mom did not let me. I stood up, got dressed and cleaned my teeth after breakfast. I was said because it was very cloudy and rainy. The hills around us looked as if somebody cut the peaks of them. We generally planned to drive to the island Senja today, but in this bad weather it did not make any sense. So we drove into the direction Narvik.

On the way I listened to my audiobook and admired the landscape. We drove a along the fjords but also through high mountains, all the time up and down.

Lunch we had next to a river, there we ate Pasta Carbonara.

Later we saw a waterfall which was really beautiful so we decided to climb to its top. The way was very steep and wet, but the view was great. Unbelievable how much water is coming down from all the mountains. Then we drove further to our sleeping place. We are staying next to a lake in a deep valley. Next to the street there are beech forests. After dinner we went for a walk and of course we found a lot of mushrooms. Dad collected the younger ones and we cleaned them and prepared them for cooking in the next days. I hate mushrooms!

It is not dark yet, mum says it is not dark at one in the morning, but I am tired and go to bed. By the way, here are 10 degrees and we are walking around with a hoody and softshell jackets. We are not sweating but it could be for 5 – 10 degrees warmer.

Sunset 23:14 (kilometer 5.150)
