Skuleskogen National Park

Sunrise 4:50

This morning greeted us with gentle rain, but that did not bother us and as soon as we ate, the sun came out, sadly the sun disappeared as soon as we started to drive. Our aim for the day was to get to a location in close proximity to Stockholm. After some time of driving, we stopped at the Skuleskogen National Park and decided to take a walk from the vest entrance to Slattdalsskrevan. We planned to make a full round but at the end we decided that we will take the path from which we came.

Our start wasn’t the best because it was raining, at the time we parked. So, we began our journey with many jackets and ponchos. The paths were built out of wood and had a very interesting method against slipping. They had in intervals of about ten centimeters small iron sticks which wear fixed on to the wooden planks. After some time of walking the sky cleared and the sun came out of hiding and we had to remove some of our jackets. After the sun came out, we walked 5 more kilometers then we arrived at Slattdalsskrevan it was very beautiful, before we realized, that we will have to walk all the way back to the parking place.

After our arrival a few hours later, we were very exhausted so we ate a snack a decided, that we would drive a few kilometers before we eat lunch, but than it was so late, that we decided to combine lunch and dinner. We wanted to drive 350 kilometers more, but since the long expedition in the national park changed our time dynamic, we stopped at 200 kilometers at a lake (again) and had the first night, which was actually dark.

Sunset 20:51 (kilometer 7.696)
